Cody J. Martin

Cody J. Martin is a singer/songwriter from Massillon, OH. He writes songs that rest where folk, blues and country music intersect.

For just under a decade, Martin has been performing his aggressive, often finger-picked tunes to audiences throughout his home state and around the country.

His first album, “Somewhere You’d Rather Be” (2014 - Ranked #21 in Cleveland Music City’s “30 Best Cleveland Albums of 2014”) introduced his music to a wider audience and lead him on his first tour in 2015 where he travelled through Chicago, Nashville and New York, NY amongst other cities.

He has since performed at such esteemed Ohio venues as The Kent Stage, Akron Civic Theatre, Canton Palace Theatre, EJ Thomas Hall and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Since late 2016, Martin has quietly been at work writing and recording his second album, “From Here to All of Time’s Entire”.

Out August 23rd, 2019 - the album is an adept extension of the songwriting styles that Martin experimented with on his first release, presenting listeners with a noticeable maturity in both performance and production.

His first single from the album, “Born In a Grave” was named by Cleveland Magazine in their summer edition of “10 Favorite Cleveland Songs of 2019.”

The new album “From Here to All of Time’s Entire” will be available across all major streaming platforms and on vinyl record (via online store) on August 23rd, 2019.
